How
to Help:
The Winfield Trust was able to open its
first centre in Tunbridge Wells with supporting grants from the National
Lottery, Smiths Charity and the William Carey Foundation.
Without an official fundraiser the Trust
relies mainly on the efforts of the Chairperson and local management
staff in raising awareness of the aims of the Trust and seeking financial
support from charitable institutions, local businesses and through sponsorship
events.
Our Maidstone Centre has had to be relocated
to smaller premises due to the costs of operation and a reduction of
funding. Our aim is to maintain a presence until we can once again offer
a full service.
We have all kinds of needs to continue our service, and welcome any donation that visitors to our web site might like to make as a contribution to our work. If you would like to make a donation please make the cheque payable to, The Winfield Trust, and send it to our centre in Tunbridge Wells. All donations will be acknowledged.
Some of our current needs are:
To obtain running cost funding for
our project at Chatham, now that the money raised at the fundraising
events has opened the project. It is important now to look to a long
term future.
To raise funds for a part time member of staff to help cover holiday
and sickness within the four centres.
